White Cedar - Melia azedarach

Melia azedarach - White Cedar is a deciduous handsome shade tree that has straight erect stem branches which form a broad topped tree. It has fern like foliage which turns to autumn tonings before falling. The flowers are perfumed and pinkish lilac in colour and droop in clusters all over the tree followed by yellow orange berries that remain all winter.

Melia azedarach - White Cedar grows in most soils but prefer moist to dry well drained areas. They prefer full sun but will grow in part shade. Melia azedarach - White Cedar is able to tolerate frost, drought, and salt conditions.

Great bird attracter all winter, ideal patio, paved or lawn tree, perfect along a driveway and can be shaped if desired.
