Smooth Barked Apple (Angophora costata)
A large, spreading tree often with a gnarled, twisted trunk with a pink to grey mottled trunk and dark green, opposite leaves. Produces large, white showy flowers in late spring to summer. They will often shed limbs, which helps create the gnarled, twisted habit, so planting near dwellings is not recommended. Prefers a well drained, sandy or stony soil.
