River Bottlebrush (Callistemon sieberi)
Callistemon sieberi is a bird attracting, quick growing shrub - small tree which bears masses of creamy yellow bottlebrush flowers in late spring - summer. An incredibly hardy plant tolerating many soil types and frost.
Can be used for hedges, screens and in shrubberies. It is ideally planted where you can view the small native birds as they come to feed on its nectar.
This, like most Callistemons, does well with a pruning after flowering which will maintain its compact growth.
