River Paperbark (Melaleuca styphelioides)
The Prickly Paperbark is a small stately symmetrical tree with a dense crown and gorgeous papery white bark. It bares creamy flower spike in abundance in summer.
As well as attracting both bees and birds, the prickly paperbark is very versatile, hardy and easily grown. It thrives in swampy soils and also under hot, dry conditions.
A fantastic shade tree which is also very useful as a street tree or as part of a windbreak
