Macadamia (Macadamia integrifolia)
The macadamia is a small to medium tree that bears decorative trusses of cream flowers, followed by edible, nutritious nuts.
It naturally occurs in warm temperate climates, preferring moist, fertile soils, with good drainage. As a result it can be frost tender when young and is not suited to wet boggy soils.
Macadamias can be trimmed to keep them to a suitable height.
Macadamias are ideal to be used as a shade tree, a feature planting or a street tree.
