Parramatta Wattle or Sydney Green Wattle (Acacia parramattensis)
Small tree or tall shrub ranging from 2m to 12m with dark green, bi-pinnate leaves. Produces pale yellow ball-shaped flowers from November to around February, followed by flat seed pods. This tree can sometimes sucker to form groves - and if burnt by bushfires will often regenerate from underground.
Attracts insect and seed eating birds and sugar-gliders feed off the sap.
Frost resistant to -7 degrees Celsius. Drought hardy.
